Craig Coffman, CPA

Coffman Proactive CPA Services, LLC was established by Craig Coffman, CPA. With over 18 years experience as a Certified Public Accountant working with individuals and businesses, Craig chose to incorporate “proactive” in his company’s name to communicate his approach to servicing clients. It is an approach that focuses on “anticipating your needs with personal attention,” the Company’s tag line.

“Throughout my career, I have advanced from providing services on a grand perspective to more of an individualized approach.” Craig’s career path reflects this with a progression that began after graduating in 1987 from Indiana University, Bloomington, starting at Ernst & Whinney (now Ernst & Young) in Indianapolis, Indiana, where he worked as an auditor on large engagements such as Eli Lilly. Craig then proceeded on to Brady Ware & Company, CPAs in his hometown of Richmond, Indiana, and later on to Olson & Company, P.C., CPAs in Bloomington, Indiana, where he was able to work more extensively in the tax and business consulting service areas.

“My experience at Brady Ware and Olson enabled me to gain a wealth of experience in providing tax, accounting, and business advisory services for clients of various sizes and backgrounds. Through Coffman Proactive CPA Services, LLC, I will be able to provide services that incorporate a more customized approach for individuals and businesses. I especially enjoy working with start up businesses.”

Another reason Craig started Coffman Proactive CPA Services, LLC was “to make sure I would have more flexibility to work with civic and charitable organizations, which is very important to me.” Craig currently serves as Treasurer on the Foundation of the Monroe County Community Schools Board, Chair of the Seed Corp. Board, Treasurer and teacher for Christian Bible Fellowship, and Assistant Treasurer of the Owen County Christian Men’s Fellowship - sponsor of the Weekday Religious Education Program in Owen County. Craig is also a member of the Spencer Lions Club, participates in collaborative teaching at local high schools through the Franklin Initiative, and is involved in mentoring programs for students at the IU Kelly School of Business. His Company is a member of the Greater Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Owen County Chamber of Commerce & Economic Development Corporation.

“I’m looking for individuals and businesses that are interested in a personalized and fresh approach to their tax and accounting service needs. Contact us to see what Coffman Proactive CPA Services, LLC can do for you.”
